AP calls U.S. House District 6 race for Randy Fine

MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Associated Press has called the U.S. House District 6 race for Republican Randy Fine, the incumbent.

With 85 percent of the vote in, Fine will keep his seat, besting Democratic challenger Eric Yonce with 57.2 percent of the vote to Yonce’s 41.7 percent.

This was hardly a surprise, given the region’s deep red leanings and Fine’s popularity in the area.
