LEVY COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A 43-year-old woman from Gainesville was struck and killed by a pickup truck last night along U.S. HWY 129 in Levy County.
According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was on the far right edge of the highway’s southbound lane just south of CR 320 for unknown reasons when she was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 70-year-old Trenton man.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup suffered no injuries in the collision.
This is the first confirmed incident of a pedestrian being struck and killed in Levy County in 2026.
