BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – The City of Belleview is celebrating the achievements of Jazlynn Rosa, a senior at Belleview High School and an active member of the City of Belleview Youth Council, following her acceptance to the University of Chicago with a full scholarship.
Jazlynn plans to major in political science, driven by a passion for making a positive impact on her community.
Her dedication to service is evident through her academic accomplishments and community involvement. As a Youth Council member, she has played a key role in organizing local events and advocating for youth engagement. Most recently, she addressed the City Commission on behalf of the Youth Council, successfully securing approval for their annual service event, Just Dance, Just Listen.

Scheduled for April 10, 2025, at 5 p.m. at the Belleview Community Center, Just Dance, Just Listen will offer local high school students a chance to connect through music, dancing, and creative expression. The event is free to attend, but participants are encouraged to bring five nonperishable food items, which will be donated to EveryDay Church for its food pantry program.
“Jazlynn Rosa is a shining example of leadership and compassion,” said Robert Vass, events and promotions manager for the City of Belleview. “Her drive to serve others and uplift her peers makes her not only an asset to the Youth Council but also a role model for young people in our community. We are beyond proud of her accomplishments and can’t wait to see the great things she will achieve at the University of Chicago.”
Mayor Christine Dobkowski also praised Jazlynn’s dedication and success.
“Jazlynn represents the very best of Belleview – a young leader with a heart for service and a vision for the future,” Dobkowski said. “Her acceptance to the University of Chicago reflects her hard work, and I have no doubt she will continue to inspire and uplift those around her. We are so proud of her and excited to see all she will accomplish.”
