OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Board of County Commissioners has officially designated March 2025 as โ€œGardening Month,โ€ recognizing the contributions of Master Gardeners in promoting sustainable gardening practices and environmental education.

The observance coincides with the 29th Annual Master Gardener Spring Festival, scheduled for March 8-9 at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion. The festival has drawn nearly 113,000 attendees over the years, offering expert-led discussions on Florida-Friendly landscaping, water conservation, fertilization best practices, and pest management.

In addition to educational opportunities, the event will feature a Kids Zone with interactive activities aimed at engaging young nature enthusiasts. Visitors can also explore programs offered by the UF/IFAS Marion County Extension Service.
