CLERMONT, FL (352today.com) – Gator’s Dockside, the beloved regional chain that added a swampy vibe, sports-bar amenities and Florida cuisine to the fast-casual concept, announced on Saturday that its Clermont location in southern Lake County was permanently closed.

The announcement came via a post on social media on Saturday, August 22, 2026, which read, “As of this morning (8/22/26) we have officially closed. Thank you to all who were a part of the Clermont Gator’s Dockside family over the years! We will miss you all!”

The Clermont restaurant was located at 1200 Oakley Seaver Dr. It reportedly opened in 2008 as part of the brand’s expanding footprint. Gator’s Dockside was founded in Jacksonville in 1991 and still runs three restaurants (out of more than 20 statewide) in the 352, in Ocala, Brownwood Square/The Villages, and Eustis.

It was only two years ago that the company shuttered another former North Central Location in The Village’s Spanish Springs Town Square.
