SUMMERFIELD, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue responded to a three-vehicle crash with entrapment in Summerfield Thursday morning.

According to a social media post on MCFR’s FB page, crews responded to a three-vehicle collision along SE 36th Avenue in Summerfield at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026. Arriving at the site, the Engine #18 crew determined one person was still trapped in on vehicle.

The crew immediately began extrication efforts while additional crews from Belleview Fire Station #18, Spruce Creek Station #30 and EMS Central provided medical aid to other crash victims.

Firefighters successfully freed the trapped individual.

Two people were transported to area hospitals, with one going to a local trauma center.
