MARION OAKS, FL (352today.com) – A 20-year-old motorcyclist from Ocala was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer in Marion Oaks in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was traveling north on Marion Oaks Blvd. “at a high rate of speed” toward the intersection of Marion Oaks Dr. at around 4:45 a.m. when a semi headed west on Marion Oaks Dr. stopped at the stop sign, then proceeded to turn right toward a northbound direction on Marion Oaks Blvd.
The cyclist hit the front left section of the semi’s cab.
The motorcyclist, who was reportedly wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured.
This was at least the third fatal motorcycle accident in the North Central Florida area in the last two months. Prior to Tuesday’s collision, the most recent was on April 5, when a motorcycle clipped the side of a pickup truck on SR 40.
