OCALA, FL (352today.com) – One of Ocala’s longtime dining landmarks is serving customers once again.
The New Wolfy’s has officially reopened at 2159 E. Silver Spring Blvd., welcoming diners back after months of renovations under new ownership by the team behind Scrambles Cafe. The reopening marks a new chapter for the restaurant, which has been a familiar stop for generations of Ocala residents.
While the restaurant has a fresh look and updated menu, the new owners say the goal is to preserve the welcoming atmosphere that made Wolfy’s a local institution. The restaurant underwent a complete renovation, including a remodeled dining room, kitchen and restrooms, while introducing an expanded menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. According to the restaurant, the concept blends modern dining with the restaurant’s longtime history in the community.
Wolfy’s closed earlier this year following the death of co-owner Diane German, leaving many residents wondering about the future of the iconic restaurant. In March, it was announced that Scrambles Cafe would take over management of the property and an begin renovations.
Early customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the restaurant’s transformation while appreciating that several longtime employees returned to work at the new establishment. Customers have highlighted the renovated interior, friendly service and quality of the food, with several saying the updated restaurant still feels familiar despite its new identity. Others noted the changes are part of a fresh start, encouraging longtime patrons to embrace “The New Wolfy’s” while creating new memories at the east Ocala landmark.
The New Wolfy’s is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. More information on the new location is available at the restaurant’s new website and phone number, 352-657-1515.
