BUSHNELL, FL (352today.com) – Drivers traveling through Sumter County should be prepared for overnight ramp closures along Interstate 75 (I-75) this week as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) conducts overhead sign work.
On Tuesday, May 13, the southbound I-75 exit ramps to State Road 48 and County Road 470 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. Southbound drivers needing access to C.R. 470 should use exit 329 to S.R. 44, then follow detour signs west on S.R. 44 and south onto C.R. 470.
After work is completed on the C.R. 470 ramp, crews will close the S.R. 48 ramp during the same night. Drivers should instead take exit 321 to C.R. 470, travel east, turn right on U.S. 301, and head south to reach S.R. 48.

On Wednesday, May 14, the northbound I-75 exit ramp to C.R. 470 will also close overnight from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Northbound motorists should use exit 314 to S.R. 48, then go east and north via U.S. 301 to access C.R. 470.
FDOT encourages drivers to plan ahead and follow posted detours for a safe and smooth trip through the area.
