OCALA, FL. (352today) – Meet the sweetest and smallest Manatee the 352 has ever seen. This sweet pup has been patiently waiting for a loving home at the Humane Society of Marion County.

Manatee arrived at the Humane Society of Marion County after being transferred from Marion County Animal Services during the move to their new facility. This sweet boy is a 2-year-old mixed breed with the softest white and reddish-brown fur. He is a medium-sized pup who weighs 43 pounds. Due to being a transfer from MCAS, not much is known about his past.

Although Manatee’s appearance does not match his namesake, his gentle nature surely does. His sweet appearance is capable of melting the hearts of many, and his friendly energy will light up any room. Manatee gets along well with other dogs and cats and will do great with an active, loving family.

Those interested in making a Manatee their joyful companion can visit the Humane Society of Marion County, Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., located at 701 NW 14th Road in Ocala.
