MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A 42-year-old Eustis man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover accident on I-75 in Marion County this morning, forcing the closure of the northbound side of the interstate.
According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a pickup truck southbound on I-75 at approximately 6 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, when for as-yet unknown reasons vehicle veered across all three lanes and struck a guardrail near mile marker 366.
The pickup overturned, and the driver was ejected before it came to rest in the outside northbound lane of I-75 on the other side of the median.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Northbound I-75 was closed for several hours, forcing the diversion of traffic.
