OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Kevin Sheilley, President/CEO of the Ocala Metro Chamber and Economic Partnership highlights what’s going on in the Ocala Metro, from his point of view. The latest buzz? Three new World Equestrian Center developments.
- Riding Academy Hotel
- The Event Center at WEC
- The Shoppes at 80th
Currently under construction and positioned along the front of the facility on 80th, the Riding Academy Hotel will boast nearly 400 rooms. The hotel is anticipated to open in summer of 2024 and feature pet-friendly extended stay rooms.
The second facility is scheduled to open the following year. Designed as a special events center, the 180,000-square Event Center at WEC will include four restaurants and dozens of ballrooms.
Lastly, The Shoppes at 80th is also anticipating a 2025 opening and a quarter of the 31 available retail spaces are already leased.
