GILCHRIST COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Florida Highway Patrol has issued a motorist advisory for travelers in Gilchrist County, due to a wildfire burning west of SR 47 and east of U.S. HWY 129.
“This may affect travel on SR 47, U.S. 129, CR 232 and area roadways due to possible smoke on the roadways throughout the night and into the morning hours,” the advisory read. “Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in the area as visibility may deteriorate quickly.”
Commuters and others on the roads are advised to reduce their speed and use their low beams.
