OCALA, FL (352today.com) – WingHouse Bar & Grill has permanently closed its Ocala location, ending the restaurant’s run in the area.
The restaurant, located at 2145 E. Silver Springs Blvd., announced the closure Thursday, Oct. 1, in a statement to the community. The company thanked customers who visited the restaurant, celebrated there and became familiar faces during its time in Ocala.
The permanent closure came less than a week after the restaurant was temporarily shut down following a series of state health inspections. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation temporarily closed the restaurant Sept. 25 after an inspection found 17 violations, including live roaches and flying insects.
WingHouse failed follow-up inspections Sept. 26 and Sept. 28 before passing another inspection later Sept. 28, which allowed the restaurant to temporarily resume operations. Management ultimately decided to close the location permanently.
The company has not announced plans for the future of the property.
