CITRA, FL (352today.com) – Crews from Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) say they quickly extinguished the flames burning a one-room house in Citra. But based on the images MCFR shared on its Facebook page, it appears the house is a total loss.
MCFR says they responded to the fire in the 1800 block of NW 186th Place around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
They say the homeowner told 911 dispatch that a fire in her wood stove caught her home on fire.
When crews got on the scene, they say the tiny structure was fully involved in flames. MCFR says they got the fire under control in less than 15 minutes.
They say no one was injured and the American Red Cross is assisting the homeowner.
