TAMPA, FL (352today.com) – Florida’s gasoline supplies have stabilized, and pump prices are holding steady after weeks of fluctuating demand, according to AAA – The Auto Club Group. As of Sunday, the state average price for gasoline was $3.09 per gallon, down by one cent from the previous week and 16 cents lower than the same time last year.
“Conditions are much improved compared to this time last week, when retailers struggled to keep their gas pumps stocked, due to the spike in demand from Hurricane Milton,” says Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA. “Just one week later, gasoline supplies are much more stable around the state and Floridians do not have to look far to find fuel.”
The drop in crude oil and gasoline futures late last week also contributed to price stability. As of Friday, U.S. crude oil was priced at $69.22 per barrel, marking an 8% drop from the previous week and the lowest since late September. This decline is expected to keep gas prices in check for the near future.
