OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Do you have an itch to check out the latest state-of-the-art robotic surgery tools used in hospitals? Don’t have a clue what robotic surgery tools are? This event could help bring some knowledge into your life.
On Tuesday, Nov. 12, HCA Florida Ocala Hospital will host “Lung Tech Live,” which promises to offer a glimpse into the present and future of life-saving robotic surgery tools utilized during lung procedures.
The hospital is promoting this event for a drastic reason: lung cancer. On average, 322 Marion County residents die every year from lung cancer. The county further exceeds the State of Florida’s annual average in rates of death from lung cancer and new lung cancer diagnoses, according to the hospital.

Therefore, the hospital is taking matters into its own hands and is working to raise awareness of lung cancer in its abiding county. The hospital says the exhibit is one of many ways they plan on doing so.
Lung Tech Live is a traveling exhibit that will open in Ocala tomorrow, Nov. 12. The event promises a hands-on experience with the aforementioned robotic surgery tools and an opportunity to speak with the team behind it all.
The exhibit will open first for Marion County Public School students from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and then to the general public from 2 to 5 p.m.
