OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The City of Ocala’s Cultural Arts Division has announced the opening of four new exhibitions as part of its Art in City Spaces program. These exhibitions will be on display throughout December, offering a diverse range of artistic styles and perspectives.
The Art in City Spaces program aims to enrich the cultural landscape of Ocala by showcasing local and regional artists in public spaces. This initiative provides artists with an opportunity to exhibit their work to a larger public and nurtures a dynamic arts community.
Here’s a breakdown of the new exhibitions:
- The Colors of My Homeland by Lorena Greer: This exhibition, opening on Dec. 3rd at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center, delves into the artist’s personal journey and cultural heritage.
- Fantastical Photographic Journeys by Shara Abel: Beginning on Dec. 4th at the Clerk’s Office at City Hall, this exhibit presents a captivating collection of photographs that transport viewers to imaginative realms.
- Marvelous Marion by Rainbow Springs Art: Opening on Dec. 10th at the Ocala International Airport, this exhibition showcases the beauty and diversity of Marion County through the lens of local artists.
- Copper Art by Ricky Weeks: This exhibition, opening on Dec. 17th at the Recreation and Parks Administration Building and the Eighth Avenue Adult Activity Center, features stunning copper sculptures and other metalwork.
All exhibitions are free and open to the public.
