OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A woman was killed and a man seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash early Thursday morning on County Road (CR) 484, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred around 7 a.m. at the intersection of CR 484 and San Pedro Blvd. in Dunnellon.
Troopers said a 21-year-old Ocala man was driving an SUV eastbound on CR 484 when it collided head-on with a sedan traveling westbound, driven by a 50-year-old Ocala woman.
The SUV driver was transported to HCA Florida Ocala Hospital with serious injuries. The sedan driver was taken to AdventHealth TimberRidge, where FHP said she was later pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved, and the crash remains under investigation.
