OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Ocala Royal Dames for Cancer Research are proud to present their highly anticipated Signature Event, “Night of a Million Dreams” gala.
This prestigious evening, chaired by Debbie Craig and co-chaired by Chris Davis, is set to take place on March 29, 2025, from 5-11 p.m. at the Circle Square Cultural Center.

The gala will bring together philanthropists, business leaders, and community members for an unforgettable evening dedicated to funding cancer research and education.
Supporting a Vital Cause
The primary mission of the Ocala Royal Dames is to support cancer research and education. Sponsors play a critical role in advancing scientific discoveries that can lead to better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. “By investing in cancer research, we’re not only funding innovative treatments but also giving hope to those battling this disease,” said Debbie Craig, Owner/Vice President of Chet Craig Plumbing.
The Power of Community and Philanthropy
Many sponsors are businesses and individuals who recognize the importance of giving back to their community. Their support makes a meaningful impact on cancer research efforts, ensuring that critical advancements continue to be made. “Philanthropy strengthens our community,” Craig continued. “It’s about coming together for a cause greater than ourselves.”

A highlight of the evening will be a powerful speech from Hunter Wallace, a cancer survivor, and program director and host of the Hunter & Dupree morning show on 92.5/95.5 Wind-FM, sharing her inspiring journey. “I was so honored when the Ocala Royal Dames asked me to be a guest speaker. I can’t wait to share my story of hope and surviving breast cancer. The Ocala Royal Dames have funded several cancer research projects which have led to extraordinary advancements, but we can’t stop until we find a cure,” said Wallace.

The event will be emceed by midday personality Lewis Stokes from 93.7 K-Country. “I am looking forward to emceeing this event, especially because two of my favorite people are involved in it,” said Stokes. “Debbie Craig of Chet Craig Plumbing, who I first met when she was the only female contestant in K-Country’s ‘Bubbalympics’ at the old Wild Waters, and my co-worker in the radio studio next to mine, Hunter from Wind-FM, as a guest speaker! It’s always a good cause when you can do your part to help fight cancer.”
