A 23-year-old Ocala man was ejected from his motorcycle and later died after a sport utility vehicle crossed into his path on U.S. Highway 441, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed Sunday night after being ejected from his vehicle in a crash on U.S. Highway 441, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The crash occurred around 9:49 p.m. near NW 95th St. when a sport utility vehicle entered the northbound lanes from a stop sign, attempting to cross into the paved median. The motorcycle, which was traveling north, struck the SUV, causing both vehicles to overturn.

The motorcyclist, an Ocala resident, was transported to a local hospital, where FHP says he later died from his injuries. The 29-year-old SUV driver, also from Ocala, sustained minor injuries. FHP reported that he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
