Sumter County reports that the roadway has since been cleared following the early morning accident.
SUMTER COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – An accident on Monday morning caused temporary backups at the US Highway 301 and County Road 466 intersection in Sumter County.
Sumter County Sheriff’s Deputies and ambulance crews were on the crash scene.
According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), the accident involved two vehicles. They say the traffic lights at the intersection were “not working properly.”
SCSO further reports that there are possible injuries to those involved in the accident but did not describe their severity.
The roadway was temporarily blocked off to make room for clean-up. SCSO reports that it has since reopened.
