OCALA, FL (352today.com) – If your daily routine includes driving through the intersection of NW 8th Street and Pine Ave., youโ€™ll want to know about some upcoming changes.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is proposing updates to improve safety and traffic flow by converting the current full median opening into a two-way directional median. This could mean adjusting how you access certain turns or intersections.

FDOT will hold an in-person open house on Thursday, May 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Ocala Downtown, 120 E. Silver Springs Blvd. โ€œAttendees will be able to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members, and submit comments or questions.โ€

For those unable to attend in person, FDOT is offering an online webinar option at 5:30 p.m. To join, register at fdot.cc/US27_at_NW8th_St.
