OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A natural gas leak shut down a portion of E. Fort King Street on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Ocala Police Department.
The closure affected the stretch between SE 25th Avenue and SE 29th Avenue after a natural gas line was ruptured. Ocala Police, Ocala Fire Rescue, and TECO Gas Company responded quickly to the scene.
Crews were able to repair the damaged line and reopen the roadway, restoring normal traffic flow later in the afternoon. No injuries were reported.
