MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Governor Ron DeSantis signed the Florida State Budget into law on Monday, June 30, incorporating three pivotal appropriations championed by Marion County as part of its 2025 Legislative Priorities.
Approved funding highlights
- $237,500 for Bradford – Ma Barker House Improvements (specific appropriation 2924A) – Preserving cultural heritage through restoration and visitor-friendly enhancements at this historic landmark.
- $1,000,000 for the Lowell Municipal Drinking Water Project (specific appropriation 1555) – Securing clean and reliable water supply for thousands of residents in the growing community of Lowell, aligned with Marion County’s top infrastructure goals.
- $2,000,000 for Roadway Improvements on NW 49th Street (specific appropriation 1871A) – Enabling critical resurfacing, safety enhancements, and capacity upgrades to address traffic and community access needs.
