OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Members of Florida Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 8 (FL-TF8) deployed to Texas on July 7, 2025, to assist with emergency operations following widespread flooding across multiple counties.
Crews began wide-area search and rescue efforts in Kerr County, braving dangerous floodwaters and tough terrain to check for anyone in need. The team is now stationed in Travis County as a Quick Reaction Force, ready to respond to additional rescue missions.

“We are proud of the dedication and professionalism of our FL-TF8 members, who represent the very best of Florida’s emergency response community. Stay safe and strong — your mission matters,” Marion County Fire Rescue said.
FL-TF8 includes firefighters from Marion County Fire Rescue, Ocala Fire Rescue, and Gainesville Fire Rescue.
