BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – The City of Belleview is proud to announce the award of its first grant under the new Beautify Belleview: Property Improvement Grant Program. At the July 15, 2025, City Commission meeting, commissioners voted to approve a $2,500 grant to Bradley Blessing State Farm Insurance, located in the heart of Belleview’s commercial corridor.

The awarded funds will assist with the repaving and striping of the business’s parking lot, along with the installation of speed tables designed to enhance pedestrian and vehicle safety. These improvements will contribute to both the visual appeal and functional accessibility of the property, aligning with the City’s broader goals for revitalization and safety enhancements.

“We are thrilled to see the first project approved under the Beautify Belleview program,” said Mariah Moody, City Administrator. “This program is an investment in our local businesses and seeks to create a safer, more attractive environment for residents and visitors alike. Bradley Blessing State Farm Insurance has taken an important first step, and we hope to see many more businesses follow their lead.”

The Beautify Belleview: Property Improvement Grant Program was launched in 2025 to support commercial property owners and tenants in making façade/landscaping improvements. Grants of up to $2,500 per project are available in a direct payment to the approved service provider, and eligible improvements include landscaping, façade updates, exterior painting, signage, lighting, and parking lot enhancements, among others.

“The response to the program has been enthusiastic, and we’re excited to see our first grant move from planning to action,” said Robert Vass, Events & Promotions Manager for the City of Belleview and coordinator of the grant program. “This partnership between the City and our business community will go a long way toward building pride and momentum in Belleview’s ongoing revitalization efforts.”

Applicants must be located within the formal limits of the City of Belleview.  Additional requirements, including cost estimates and a detailed project description, are outlined in the application packet available online at belleviewfl.org/grants. All projects require pre-approval by the City Commission prior to starting work.
