MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Utilities has lifted the boil water notice for customers in the JB Ranch, Majestic Oaks, and State Road 200 Corridor service areas following the satisfactory completion of a bacteriological survey showing that the water is safe to drink.

The previous precautionary boil water notice was issued on Monday, July 21 following a water main break.

Customers in the affected areas included:

  • Ocala Crossing South

  • Pioneer Ranch

Crews are actively on-site conducting repairs and working as quickly as possible to restore service.

As a precaution, a precautionary boil water notice has been issued for all customers in the affected areas which include:

Residents should:

  • Bring all water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing dishes to a rolling boil for at least one minute.
  • Continue boiling water until further notice.
  • Once repairs are complete and water service is restored, the notice will remain in effect until bacteriological testing confirms the water is safe to drink. An announcement lifting this precautionary boil water notice will be issued at that time.
