DADE CITY, FL (352today.com) – Hidden in the backwoods of Pasco County, Scream-A-Geddon has once again transformed a quiet stretch of forest into Florida’s ultimate fright destination. The annual Halloween event, now in its 10th season, continues to draw thousands of dedicated fright fans with six haunted attractions, immersive experiences and a midway packed with food, drinks and entertainment.
Marketing Manager, Winston McDaniel said Scream-A-Geddon’s goal each year is to push the limits of fear while keeping the experience fresh for returning guests.
This year, guests can explore the following haunted houses: Killgore’s 3D Circus, Ravenhill Asylum, Bloodwater Bayou, Demon’s Revenge and Breach. Two of these houses, Ravenhill Asylum and Breach, are interactive, giving brave participants 18 years or older the chance to be touched, grabbed or separated from their group for a more intense encounter.

“We always look at what scares people the most and build from there,” McDaniel said. “Our interactive houses really set us apart–guests can choose to become part of the horror, not just watch it happen.”
McDaniel said these interactions are less about jump scares and more about making people deeply uncomfortable. “We specialize in creating environments that are full of tension, and you don’t really have anywhere where you can hide.”
One of the standout attractions, Zombie Paintball Assault, blends haunted-house thrills with active participation: guests ride in a repurposed school bus and fire paintballs at live “zombies” roaming the dark grounds.

Away from the more extreme haunts, Monster Midway offers a lively escape where guests can try axe throwing, explore the gift shop for horror-themed souvenirs and mingle with roaming monsters in more one-on-one encounters. This year’s food lineup includes Oh My Grill, The Crunch Mob, Sunkissed Sweets, Wild Pines Fresh Pizza and Bonzo’s Beer Garden, which serves beer and seasonal drinks for guests 21 and older. McDaniel said the variety helps make the event more than just a haunted attraction.

“We want people to spend the evening here–grab dinner, hang out with friends and enjoy the whole atmosphere.” he said.
Parking is available on-site for $17 for regular and $22 for preferred, offering closer access to the entrance. They also offer a separate pick-up and drop-off entrance. Tickets can be purchased online, with select nights offering discounted admission. The event runs now through early November, and is not recommended for children under 13.
“It’s a different experience than what you might be used to in a lot of the bigger parks in Central Florida. It’s an intense experience. It’s a fun experience. We like to shadow that line between being scary and terrifying, and giving you a fun night. That’s what we want to do.” McDaniel said.
Whether it’s the adrenaline rush of a haunted house, the satisfaction of hitting a zombie with a paintball or simply sharing laughs between screams, Scream-A-Geddon continues to cement its place as a Central Florida Halloween staple.
