Belleview, FL (352today.com) – The City of Belleview invites the community to attend its annual Founder’s Day celebration on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lake Lillian. Growing each year, the day offers a mix of entertainment, history, and family-friendly activities that reflect the spirit and heritage of Belleview.
Founder’s Day 2026 will feature a full lineup of activities designed for all ages. Guests can enjoy a historical hayride that highlights Belleview’s past, along with interactive activities such as face painting and cookie decorating sponsored by The Church on the Hill. A live DJ will provide music throughout the day, and families can enjoy spending time with adorable animals in the petting zoo.
The event will include more than 40 vendors offering local goods, crafts, and services, as well as a diverse selection of food trucks. Families can take photos at themed historical and cowboy-style backdrops, adding a unique and memorable experience to the day.
New this year, the city will host an Apple Pie Contest in honor of the America250 celebration, recognizing one of the most iconic traditions in American culture. This addition brings a fun and competitive element to the event while celebrating the nation’s upcoming milestone.
A major highlight of the day will be the return of the Gregg Smith Automotive Car Show, which is expected to again feature nearly 100 classic, modern, and specialty vehicles. The show continues to be a favorite attraction, drawing car enthusiasts from across the region.
“Founder’s Day is one of the most meaningful events we host each year because it brings our entire community together,” said Robert Vass, Community Engagement Liaison for the City of Belleview. “From celebrating our history to creating new traditions like the Apple Pie Contest, it reflects what makes Belleview special. We are excited to welcome residents and visitors as we enjoy all that Belleview offers.”
