OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The UF Pet Emergency Treatment Services of Ocala will permanently close its current location at 3200 SW 27th Ave., Ste. 101, on June 15, 2026, as emergency veterinary services move to the University of Florida’s facility at the World Equestrian Center.
According to announcements shared on social media by local veterinary organizations and pet care businesses, the emergency team of doctors, technicians, assistants and receptionists will transition to the UF Veterinary Hospital at WEC, located at 1156 NW 81st Terrace Rd.
The move comes as the current facility’s lease ends, and the hospital seeks additional space to accommodate the growing number of patients. The WEC location will continue offering primary care services while expanding to include 24-hour emergency veterinary care once the transition is complete.
“UF WEC will still have primary care services, and we will be adding the ER team to provide 24-hour care,” staff said.
Local veterinary offices have also begun sharing the update with pet owners to help avoid confusion during after-hours emergencies once the move takes effect.
The transition follows a temporary relocation earlier this year, when small animal care services at the UF Veterinary Hospital at WEC operated out of the SW 27th Avenue facility during part of January.
Pet owners seeking emergency veterinary care after June 15 are being advised to go directly to the World Equestrian Center location.
