OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Those wonderfully community-minded folks at Ocala’s Marion Theatre know a lot about arts and entertainment. They also know a little something about how hot gets during the summer here in the 352, and they’ve put that knowledge to good use giving kids and their parents a place to cool off while watching some cool all-ages movies in the form of their Summer Kids Film Series.

Starting on June 3, 2026, the theatre will screen popular animated features multiple times daily every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The eight films to be shown during the series are “Cars,” “Lilo & Stitch,” “Kung Fu Panda,” “Madagascar,” “Sing 2,” “Ratatouille,” “Finding Nemo” and “How to Train Your Dragon.” Two films will be screened for two weeks each through Friday, July 24. They will be shown at alternating showtimes of 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Tickets are available for $5 online here or at the Marion Theatre box office 30 minutes before the start of each feature. Children 12 and under will also receive a free “summer snack pack” consisting of a small popcorn, gummy snacks and a CapriSun.

As a companion endeavor to the Summer Kids Film Series, patrons are encouraged to bring gently used children’s books (preferably for birth to age 5) for donation to the Early Learning Coalition.

The Marion Theatre is located at 50 S. Magnolia Ave. in downtown Ocala.
