MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Saturday’s thunderous late-night downpour may be repeated this week–and maybe more than once.

According to the National Weather Service, afternoon shower chances will be hanging around all week (with Memorial Day offering the lowest chances of rainfall) and will be joined with increasing overnight thunderstorm potential. Temps will orbit the 90-degree mark while the sun is up and remain in the 70s after it goes down.

Monday, May 25 (MEMORIAL DAY): A slight chance of showers between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Southeast wind 7 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Monday night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph after midnight.

Tuesday, May 26: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Southeast wind 6 to 8 mph, with gusts as high as 16 mph.
