OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A new show by regional artists coming to Brick City Center for the Arts is reportedly for the dogs… and the cats.
“Cats & Dogs: A Portrait of Devotion” features works expressing the joy, companionship and unconditional love our pets inspire within us. The new exhibition, presented by Marion Cultural Alliance in partnership with Voices of Change Animal League (VOCAL) and Jenkins Subaru of Ocala, opens with a reception Friday, June 5, 2026, from 5-7 p.m., and will run through July 3.
““This exhibit celebrates the animals who become family,” said Jaye Baillie, MCA’s executive director. “Through art, we honor the companionship, devotion, and unconditional love that cats and dogs bring to our daily lives while also raising awareness about the importance of animal rescue and adoption.”
In addition to coming together to celebrate the unique bond so many of us have with our pets, those who attend opening night will also be treated to live music from Ocala act Heather Lynne & Friends, as well as the debut of the group’s new video. “Dreamin’ a Dream” was filmed at VOCAL and features both rescue animals and their adoptive families.
A portion of artwork sales from the show will benefit both MCA and VOCAL.
The exhibition and opening night reception are free and open to the public.
Brick City Center for the Arts is located at 23 SW Broadway St., Ocala.
