OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The City of Ocala Water Resources Department issued a boil water notice for some city utility customers in the Shady Glynn subdivision at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026.
The notice includes SE 24th Ct. and SE 38th St. to the cul-de-sac, and SE 39th St. from SE 24th Ct. to the cul-de-sac.
“The City of Ocala Water Resources Department advises customers in the affected area to boil all water used for brushing teeth, cooking, drinking, making ice, washing dishes, or food preparation until further notice,” reads the notice, in part. “Boil water vigorously for one minute and let it cool before use or use bottled water. Boiling water kills bacteria and other organisms that may be present in the water.”
The Water Resources Department will rescind the notice after a bacteriological survey determines the water is safe to drink.
