MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Give4Marion, the annual online fundraising drive that grew out of a concerted effort to help Marion County nonprofits during the COVID pandemic shutdown, officially kicks off its 33-hour giving campaign at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
The idea is to make it simple to donate to one or more of the local and regional charities that serve Marion County through one simple online portal, while raising awareness of the many nonprofits that help our residents and communities at the same time.
More than 110 organizations are represented (see the list here), from A Door of Hope Foster Care to Xtreme SOULutions’ education for incarcerated persons. The kinds of services run the gamut from food banks and health and mentoring services to housing assistance, animal welfare and conservation.
The Give4Marion portal makes it easy, enlightening and transparent to donate to one or many of these organizations and even provides a wealth of information on each. Throughout the event, there will be specified times during which certain nonprofits are able to receive matching or in-kind donations.
Both the Ocala City Council and Marion County Board of County Commissioners are scheduled to issue proclamations in support of Give4Marion at their respective regular public meetings today.
The fund drive runs through 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, and ends with an annual celebration party at the Reilly Arts Center in Ocala.
