BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – A fatal single-vehicle collision this morning has closed SE 92nd Loop at the intersections of SE Baseline Road and SE 110th Street Road.
According to an announcement by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on social media, deputies responded to the wreck on SE 92nd Loop at approximately 7:37 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026.
According to a subsequent Florida Highway Patrol report, the vehicle was traveling west on SE 92nd Loop just past SE 96th Place Road when for unknown reasons the driver lost control. The vehicle entered the eastbound lanes of SE 92nd Loop, then left the road and crashed into a retention pond.
The driver of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol is on the scene and investigating. As of 9 p.m., the intersections were still closed, and motorists are advised to find alternate routes.
