OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Florida-bred Loomis Bros. Circus is bringing its updated version of the classic circus experience back to Southeastern Livestock Pavilion on Monday and Tuesday, November 2-3, 2026.
The company has been crisscrossing the nation (particularly the central and southeast regions) for nearly 30 years now and offers that timelessly iconic three-ring experience with a few contemporary twists, such as live music accompaniment, sideshow-style feats of daring and cirque-esque demonstrations of contortion, balance and aerial mastery.
(And, because we know you’re going to ask, yes, the Loomis Bros. show does feature live animals, including elephants, zebras, camels, show ponies and dogs. It’s certainly controversial that a modern circus act still incorporates live animal shows, particularly after Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus stopped doing it in 2018, and Loomis Bros. has been the target of multiple campaigns by various animal-rights organizations. 352Today looked into the matter as deeply as public resources allowed, and could not find any USDA citations, fines or legal actions against the company for animal abuse, cruelty or neglect; however, several animal suppliers and third-party exhibitors with which the circus has worked have been cited for Animal Welfare Act violations.)
