LEESBURG, FL. (352today.com) – It’s almost time for the 29th annual Leesburg Bikefest, which takes over the downtown area Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26, 2026.
So much more than an opportunity for motorcycle enthusiasts to gather in the warm weather, talk shop and show off their bikes, Leesburg Bikefest is an annual tradition and chance for folks across the 352 (and often much, much further away) to get out, get social and take part in a local institution nearly three decades in the making.
If you haven’t yet check it out, or you went a while ago and it just sort of slipped off your radar, here are five reasons why this year to acquaint–or reacquaint–yourself with a legendary local event.
It’s free
VIP offerings (and we’ll get into those in a minute) and food and drink aside, this is mostly a free deal, if you don’t count deciding to Uber from your house (a good call, though LakeXpress Shuttle is once again providing transportation to and from downtown). Just find a place to start wandering and get into the spirit of the situation. Eventually, you’re also guaranteed to end up at a spot where you can enjoy some free music, which brings us to our next point:
There’s a ton of live music
Aside from household-name headliners Lita Ford (Friday), Everclear (Saturday) and Sister Hazel (Sunday), there are something like two dozen other local and regional performers, including Allman Brothers tribute act Stealn’ Peaches, SoulSwitch, Jasmine Cain and a host of others.
There’s a ton more than live music
Here are just a few of the other amazing events and performers who will be out doing their thing in Leesburg this weekend:
- The Opening Ceremony Friday at noon
- The Bloxx Crew Stunt Team
- BMX riders KTS Action Sports
- The American Motor Drome Wall of Death
- Pro Wrestling with Monster Wrestling Orlando
- The Central Florida Drill Team
- The Full Throttle Bike Show
Yeah, there’s a lot to see, because:
Leesburg Bikefest is the city’s biggest annual event
According to Leesburg-News.com, the Bikefest regularly draws between 200,000 and 300,000 people. That’s a whole lot of people-watching potential. Get lost in the crowd! Make some new friends! (Seriously, bikers are the best.) And if it all gets to be a bit too much, you can always take advantage of the one of the biggest perks we mentioned in passing earlier:
There are multiple VIP experiences available
Want to watch a nostalgic national headliner from close to the stage, with dinner, private bathrooms and a private bar? Sonny’s BBQ has you covered. Would you rather get even closer to the action, and avail yourself of a killer brunch spread along with the requisite private amenities? Ski Beach Bar and Grill is offering that package. Tickets to both of these exclusive upgrades are available through the 29th Annual Leesburg Bikefest website.
And perhaps best of all, you don’t even really need to make any plans other than showing up, striding around, and taking in the spectacle.
