OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The College of Central Florida (CF) Hampton Center, located at 1501 W. Silver Springs Blvd., reopened just after 4 p.m. Tuesday following a brief lockdown.
According to college officials, the temporary lockdown was a precaution while the Ocala Police Department responded to an incident in the surrounding area.

All students, faculty, and staff are safe, and normal operations have resumed at the downtown Ocala campus.
Authorities have not released further details about the nearby incident.
