MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A former teacher is facing serious charges after a months-long investigation uncovered sexually explicit exchanges with a juvenile student.

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, Marion County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detective Jordyn Batts arrested 24-year-old Dianely Torres on nine counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and five counts of transmission of material harmful to minors.

The investigation began in February when a school resource officer received a complaint involving suspicious contact between Torres and a student. During the inquiry, investigators discovered Torres had previously used Discord to communicate with students, for which she had already been disciplined.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Torres’ Discord account and the juvenile victim’s phone, uncovering nude photos and explicit drawings sent by Torres. During an interview, Torres admitted to being in a “dating” relationship with the student and exchanging nude images.

Detectives later found nine sexually explicit photos of the juvenile victim on Torres’ phone. She was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail.
