GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – Planned Parenthood’s Gainesville Health Center will close next month as the organization cites changing patient demand and service needs in the region.
According to Planned Parenthood of Florida, the clinic’s final day of appointment-only medical services will be Friday, June 26, 2026. The organization said care will continue to be available through telehealth, while in-person services will still be offered at other Planned Parenthood locations.
The Gainesville clinic has provided reproductive health services, STI testing, vaccinations and gender-affirming care to patients in North Central Florida. The location does not provide abortion services.
Planned Parenthood officials said the closure is part of ongoing efforts to align services with patient volume and community needs. Patients currently receiving care through the Gainesville office are expected to receive information about transitioning services to other locations or telehealth options.
The closure leaves Jacksonville and Tallahassee among the nearest Planned Parenthood locations offering in-person services for many resident in the region.
