MIAMI, FL (352today.com) – The former Tropical Storm Dolly will not regain the strength to reform before reaching Florida’s east coast, according to the National Weather Service.
After briefly becoming a tropical storm last Thursday, Dolly quickly dropped below the threshold for that designation on Friday, August 28, 2026, becoming an open tropical wave.
The latest reports from NWS predict the remnants of the tropical cyclone will reach the eastern Florida Coast near Palm Beach County later this week, bringing rain and possibly thunderstorms to the beaches over Labor Day weekend.
In other hurricane season news, Tropical Storm Edouard, which snuck up to form in the northwestern Gulf of Mexico on Monday, is predicted to hit the American coast right around the Texas-Louisiana border later today.
