LEVY COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A traffic stop in Inglis on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, resulted in drug trafficking charges against a man from Beverly Hills, FL.
According to a report by the Levy County Sheriff’s Office, a LCSO deputy pulled over 44-year-old Ronnie Lee Beam “after observing multiple traffic violations.” Beam’s behavior led the deputy to call in a K-9 unit, and the dog alerted its handler to the presence of the odor of narcotics in the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle revealed various drugs, some in amounts exceeding the threshold for a trafficking charge, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, alprazolam (Xanax), and hydrocodone (Vicodin). Some of the drugs were separated and packaged in individual baggies. Paraphernalia was also found in the vehicle.
Beam has been charged with trafficking in fentanyl, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. At press time, he was being held in the Levy County Detention Center without bond.
