MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A 52-year-old Ocala man was killed Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. 441 near SE 3rd Avenue, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The crash happened around 9:35 p.m. when a 27-year-old Reddick man was driving southbound on U.S. 441. Troopers say the pedestrian was standing in the right lane when the vehicle struck him. They say the driver did not see the man until impact.

Marion County Fire Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead at 9:41 p.m.
FHP has not released the names of those involved, and the investigation remains ongoing.
