OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Afternoon thunderstorms are back in the 352 as Floridaโs heat and humidity start to ramp up this week. The National Weather Service says weโll see a more typical summer pattern setting in, with daily chances for pop-up storms, mostly during the late afternoon. Some areas may stay dry, but others could get hit with heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds.
Temperatures are climbing into the upper 80s and low 90s, and itโs going to feel even hotter with all the humidity in the air. As we head into the weekend, expect storm chances to go up even more, especially Friday through Sunday. If youโve got outdoor plans, keep an eye on the radar and be ready to shift things indoors when the skies start to rumble.
