OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Ocala Mayor Ben Marciano hopes there will be a packed house of engaged citizens on Wednesday, March 6, for a town hall-style meeting.

The Ocala Police Department (OPD) organized the meeting which is being dubbed on a Facebook event page as “Let’s Talk” with Ben Marciano.

It will take place at the Mary Sue Rich Center at Reed Place from 6-7 p.m.

Marciano says his goal is to educate the community on what he and the city leadership are working on and share the administration’s vision for the city.

The mayor says he wants to talk about his plan to address the physical and mental health of the community.

“I believe a lot of our major issues in our community stem from these two issues,” said Mayor Marciano.

The mayor says it will be an informal format and he’s opening himself up for the community to ask him anything, as well as offer your own ideas.

He has a very specific hope for the outcome for the meeting.

“That we leave excited about the vision, and we look forward to working together to make Ocala the best place to live in our country.”
