Appleton Museum Free First Saturday: Enjoy FREE admission all day on the first Saturday of each month at the Appleton Museum of Art where you and the kids can see the permanent collection, special exhibitions, and make art in the Artspace. The museum is located at 4333 E Silver Springs Blvd. and is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dunnellon First Saturday Market in the Park: Shop local vendors while the kids play in the park. The market is located at Ernie Mills Park at 11899 Bostick St. in Dunnellon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Ocala Downtown Market: Browse rows of booths filled with fruits, vegetables and crafts at the Ocala Downtown Market, the open-air pavilion is located at 310 SE 3rd St. in Ocala. The market is held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Blues Under the Oaks: The Town of Lady Lake is hosting this FREE concert at Snooky Park which is located at 120 W. Lady Lake Blvd. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 6. Don’t forget to bring a chair or a blanket.
Mounted Games Across America: On Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala you can watch a branch of equestrian sport which displays a variety of speed-based relay races with teams of skilled riders and ponies. The event is FREE. WEC is located at 1750 NW 80th Ave.
Gators Softball vs LSU: The Lady Gators take on the LSU Tigers on Saturday, April 6, at 6 p.m. at the Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. This is the annual yellow game to raise awareness about pediatric cancer in honor of honorary team member Heather Braswell. The team will have yellow accents on their uniforms. Fans will receive a sunflower-themed beach towel while supplies last. General admission tickets: $12.
