LEVY COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Levy County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) seized four horses they say were in “need of immediate attention” from a Williston farm on Friday.
Deputies responded to 13890 NE 70th St. to investigate a report of animal neglect.
The agriculture detective for the sheriff’s office says they took three mares and a colt from the property and transported them to a local rescue organization for further evaluation and treatment.

LCSO says other animals on the property are being evaluated and could be removed also if the owner fails to comply with orders to provide care to them.
Deputies say charges are expected to be filed once the investigation is complete.
