OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A single-vehicle crash early Friday morning claimed the life of an 82-year-old Ocala man.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:41 a.m. on Nov. 22, 2024, as the man was driving northbound on SW 87th Avenue, near SW 90th Place. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), investigators believe the driver suffered a medical event, causing him to lose control of his vehicle.
The vehicle veered off the roadway, striking a boulder head-on. Emergency responders transported the driver to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
FHP continues to investigate the crash.
